The CEL-620A is a developed version of
the CEL-610.A basic wide range meter. It adds the integrating functions
that make it the ideal instrument for occupational
hygienists wishing to carry out quick noise surveys in the
workplace. It can make simultaneous measurements of the 'A', 'C' and 'Z'
weighted overall noise levels with the Slow, Fast and Impulse time responses all
at the same time. It can also measure with the Q=3, 4 and 5 dB exchange
rates at the same time. Measurement times can be drastically cut by the
use of modern digital signal processing (DSP) techniques that allow
multiple parameters to be collected simultaneously. This eliminates the
need to go back and re-measure the noise to get the result set that is
needed for a thorough survey. The CEL-620A is also the best choice
where the time average levels of varying or impulsive noises are
required, for example in a workplace noise survey for OSHA/ACGIH/NIOSH
compliance. All results are viewed on the high resolution LCD that uses
color as an indicator to guide the new (or experienced) user through the
measurement procedure. This basic measurement mode allows the user to walk around a
factory and take readings whenever and wherever they are needed.
Run results can be stored for later retrieval by the user. The
instrument can be connected to a computer using the integral high speed
USB interface where the instrument is detected as if it were a standard
memory card.
