FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASECEL-400 Octave band sound level meters updatedToday's date -- June 7, 2002 Casella USA have recently announced updates to their popular range of mid price sound level meters, the CEL-400 Series. The CEL-440 range of 6 different instruments feature extensive measurement and storage capability for up to 999 independent runs in the memory of the meter. These runs can be the overall results of broadband measurements of the A, C or Z weighted noise levels or complete octave or third octave band scans. Every CEL-440 model is now supplied with a copy of the CEL download software package, dB21, as standard. Also included is the matching connection cable fitted with a 9-way D type serial connector for the RS232 port found on most computers. The CEL-480 range of 6 separate instruments has all the capability of the CEL-440 models and features the benefits of a comprehensive data logging and automatic timer function to assist in the collection of time histories of long term noise levels. This type of measurement usually produces considerable numbers of results that can be used to study the variation of noise levels during the whole measurement. Every CEL-480 model is now supplied with a copy of the CEL download software package, dB22, and cable to view the run data on the PC. The dB22 package features a graphical representation of the data logged run results and allows various recalculations to be made on the period and profile data contained in the run measurement. All future orders of the CEL-400 meters will be provided with the relevant CEL download software as standard thereby simplifying the creation of reports for the user at the end of the run.
