There were over 200 entries in the very successful Casella contest. Contestants were signed up as Casella  noise deputies and sworn to "arrest workplace noise". The  deputies then wore their sheriff deputy badges while walking around the show. The lucky winner was drawn by the lovely and talented internet accounts manager, Lisa Safron from Stevenson Publishing, the providers of Occupational Health and Safety Magazine.

 The winner of the contest was Anne Stumpf of General Dynamics in Deland, FL. She is the Industrial Hygienist at General Dynamics and is responsible for the well being of approximately 3000 employees. Anne will receive her twin pack kit containing 2 CEL-310 Noise dose badges, 2 mounting clips, a CEL-315 Reader and calibration unit, a two way charger unit and power supply all in an attractive kit case. The kit includes Windows download software and cable that will enable Anne to monitor and record the noise exposures in a simple and efficient manner. On learning that she had won the contest Anne said

 As another bit of fun the Casella USA booth featured a cowboy theme soundtrack during the show. Using variations of popular country and western songs linked to their expanding range of industrial hygiene and environmental products the "Casella Fellas" entertained visitors to their booth with such classics as "Dose badges in the sky", "I wear a dose badge" and "Back in OSHA's arms".
