A new firmware update is available for the popular Casella
Microdust pro monitor to provide a trigger facility when the dust concentration
exceeds a user selectable value. The firmware is now available for new
instruments at version 06 and can be retrofitted to older units when they are
returned to our service department in New Hampshire.
The user can select to trigger on the average or the
instantaneous dust level and enter a limit value anywhere within the range of
the meter. A buzzer can be enabled to sound when the unit monitors the
exceedance has occurred. Simultaneously a signal is sent to the multifunction
socket on the bottom of the meter to alert a remote warning light or a larger
buzzer to attract attention in a noisy environment.
The alarm feature will be appealing for all those users who
wish to check compliance of measured dust levels with a known limit such as
toxicology studies or industrial hygiene measurements. Check the full details of
the trigger feature for the
Casella
Microdust pro here.
