Based on the all new CEL-450 and 490 real time analyzers the new CEL-430.A sound level meter features an impressive ultra-wide 120 dB dynamic range. Using the benefits of low power digital signal processing the CEL-430 computes all noise parameters simultaneously for maximum ease of use.

The instrument has a measurement range from 20 to 140 dB all in a single span meaning that now it is not necessary to worry about setting the right range for the measurement, the CEL-430.A is always on the right range. The meter is available meeting the requirements of both ANSI and IEC type 1 and type 2 specifications by adding the 1 or 2 suffix after the part number.

Broadband measured parameters include the maximum and minimum values, the time average values and the peak levels all at the same time. Fast and Slow time responses are provided in parallel together with the A, C and Z frequency weightings. Time average levels include the Leq true energy average with Q = 3 and the LOSHA average with the Q = 5 dB exchange rate.

An entirely unique calibration routine has been programmed in to the meter that recognizes when an industry standard acoustic calibrator has been fitted over the microphone. Simply fit the calibrator and the firmware will auto calibrate the meter to the preset calibration level. Calibrators at 250 and 1000 Hz are recognized by the meter with any calibration level set by the user.

The new CEL-430.A meters have memory storage for up to 100 separate runs and the results for the overall values of up to 27 simultaneously measured parameters will be stored for later download to a personal computer. Dedicated pc software is available to get the maximum benefit from the CEL-430.A meter.

With a auto backlight feature for measurements in poor ambient lighting conditions and the simplicity of use associated with other CEL noise meters the CEL-430.A is sure to be a winner for many users requiring a quick and easy broadband noise meter.
