Casella CEL recently introduced the CEL-350IS dBadge dosimeter in the city of brotherly love. The new version of the popular dBadge cable less dosimeter is now available with ATEX and FM intrinsic safety approval for use in hazardous atmospheres. Many dosimeter users were waiting for the new IS model to become available so that they could start to gain the benefits in their own particular industries. The new versions of the dosimeters will be useful in the situation where a hazard may exist that requires special intrinsically safe products to be used and the CEL-350IS dosimeter will allow the industrial hygienist to continue to make measurements to protect worker's hearing. After extensive testing the European ATEX certificate was awarded followed by the North American approval from the FM organization. These two widely recognized testing houses have approved the instrument for use in a range of applications specified with the rating Class 1, Div 1, Groups A, B, C and D Hazardous (classified) locations with a temperature classification of T4. |

The intrinsically safe versions of the dBadge have all the same features and benefits as the regular ones including the fast recharge time, long running time and the same data storage and ease of operation. They integrate completely with the associated dB35 package for a complete measurement system.
